Three buildings on Gávea's main square, facing the Jockey.
Parque da Gávea is the three-building condominium on Praça Santos Dumont — the square that holds the Jockey Club grandstand on one side and the Baixo Gávea bar corner on the other. Delivered in 1971, it is one of the few full-amenity condominiums inside Gávea proper, a neighborhood otherwise dominated by small walk-ups and houses.
Units average around 80 m², two- and three-bedroom plans, with a pool, gym, sports court and play areas between the buildings. The location is the draw: Braseiro da Gávea and the praça bars are across the street, PUC-Rio is a short walk, and the Jockey's racing lawn opens the block to sky in a way few Zona Sul addresses get.
Walk and drive times to the things that decide where you live in Rio — beach, metro, airports, neighborhood anchors.

Open Charlie's full map →Built in 1971, during the decade when Gávea's larger lots along Marquês de São Vicente and the praça were converted from chácaras and low houses into mid-rise condominiums. Parque da Gávea took one of the best of those lots — directly on the square, facing the hippodrome inaugurated in 1926.
The praça around it changed character in the decades since: the Baixo Gávea corner became one of Rio's steadiest bar-and-restaurant points, and PUC-Rio's growth a few blocks up turned the neighborhood into a permanent mix of established families and university life. The condominium has held its position through all of it — over fifty years on the square and one of the recognized names of the neighborhood.
Typical 2BR. Demand is local rather than tourist: PUC-Rio visiting faculty, Jockey event weekends, and medium stays. Check the building's bylaws (convenção) before underwriting STR.

Where named individuals declined attribution, we describe the owner profile. No address-level identification of current residents.
A visible share of owners bought in the 1970s and 1980s and stayed; units pass within families more often than they reach the portals.
The walk-to-campus location keeps a steady academic and professional owner base.
