Beachfront Barra with a golf course inside the gate.
Golden Green sits directly on Avenida Lúcio Costa with the sand of Praia da Barra across the avenue — and a private golf course, helipad and full club inside the perimeter. Fourteen residential blocks share grounds landscaped by Roberto Burle Marx, with more than 90% of the lot kept as green area, lake and leisure space.
Units run from 147 to 600 m², three to five bedrooms, and the coberturas trade as some of the most expensive apartments on the Barra beachfront. A 210 m² four-bedroom currently asks around R$ 3.8M with HOA near R$ 4,100/month — Barra pricing, which means roughly half the per-m² rate of equivalent Leblon frontage.
The trade-off is the usual Barra one: Zona Sul is 30–45 minutes away in traffic. For owners who live and work west of the tunnels — or who fly from the on-site helipad — that trade is the point.
Walk and drive times to the things that decide where you live in Rio — beach, metro, airports, neighborhood anchors.

Open Charlie's full map →Developed by Multiplan and delivered from 1994, with blocks phased through 2003. Golden Green imported the resort-condominium concept to the Barra beachfront at a moment when the neighborhood was still mostly open flatland, and it set the template the rest of the avenue followed.
The grounds carry one of Roberto Burle Marx's late landscape projects — the same designer behind the Copacabana boardwalk and Flamengo Park — which is the condominium's most cited credential in Brazilian press.
Three decades on, the formula has held: the golf course, club and beach frontage keep Golden Green on the short list whenever Barra's top addresses are ranked.
Long-term family leases. The club and golf course carry the premium over neighboring Lúcio Costa buildings.
Where named individuals declined attribution, we describe the owner profile. No address-level identification of current residents.
The gated-beachfront-plus-helipad combination has made Golden Green a recurring address for public figures in carioca press since the 1990s.
The core base — owners whose work and schools are west of the tunnels and who want beach frontage with full club infrastructure.
